Margaret Sangers plotted Parenthood During a time in which white supremacy was world challenged by an ever-increasing African population, a woman named Margaret Sanger sought to purify the Statess breeding stock and purge Americas sad stains (Planned Parenthood). She set out to establish the American Birth Control League, which last became the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). Sangers actions provoked more than controversy because at the time not only was contraception nonlegal in the United States, but it was denounced by almost every major(ip) religious denomination (Contraception History).
